Neutopia is one of the companies under the Laporte Impact Group, a new umbrella group to help manage the transition and expansion with multiple companies. Neutopia, founded in 2008, spent the original 15 years focused on large scale renewable energy and conservation projects and was hit hard multple times when the provincial government canceled clean energy programs. But we never gave up. We learned and adapted and have overcome significant struggles over the years with a changing landscape. We spent the last few years showing how smaller scale projects can still result in life-changing savings. Oftentimes, we were confronted with unforeseen obstacles, such as homeowners or their own electricians who unknowingly changed project parameters causing design changes and delays, and even shocking delays caused by equipment manufacturers, transport delays, or even internationasl affairs. 90% of our projects were still developed on-time and not a single project was over budget, in the approx. 20 years of experience. A truly amazing feat considering the circumstances.
